North East Scotland Suicide Prevention Lead at SAMH

Liam Yule has extensive experience in suicide prevention, having served as the North East Scotland Suicide Prevention Lead and Suicide Prevention Manager at SAMH since April 2013. In these roles, Liam has developed the SAMH Distress Response Service, established strategic partnerships with entities such as the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland, and created funding strategies for various suicide prevention initiatives. Previously, Liam functioned as a Community Network Facilitator, focusing on support for individuals affected by suicidal crises in the Angus, Dundee, and Aberdeenshire areas. Additionally, Liam has worked as a Vice Chair for the Angus Suicide Prevention Collaborative and has experience in client management from a tenure at Barclays UK Retail and Business Bank. Educational credentials include a Biology degree from the University of Aberdeen. Liam also engages in photography through the venture One Man & Their Nikon, established in July 2017.
