Alexandra (Alexa) Nobis, MSW, is a skilled Public Health Advisor at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), where responsibilities include providing technical assistance and grant support for various mental health initiatives. Previously, as Community Programs Coordinator for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Alexandra led a significant overhaul of the Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder functional screen and implemented policy for the Wisconsin Individual Placement and Support Program. Alexandra's experience also includes serving as a Mental Health Policy Advisor for a political campaign, participation in advocacy committees, and roles in both case management and clinical internships. Alexandra holds a Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University with a focus on policy practice in health and mental health, along with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Sociology from Miami University.
