Brent Watts

Brent Watts, MPH, is a seasoned public health professional currently serving as a Public Health Advisor at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) since May 2022. Prior to this role, Brent held the position of Population Health Strategy Consultant at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield from November 2018 to May 2022, and was a Clinical Quality Specialist and Implementation Coordinator at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from May 2013 to November 2018. Brent holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Community Health Education from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (2016-2018) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism and Media Studies from Rutgers University (2009-2012).
