Alexey Kogay

Alexey Kogay has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alexey is currently working as the Chief Data Scientist at Samokat, where they lead three data science teams and oversees projects related to recommender systems, chatGPT, product ranking, review moderation, and NLP search engine. Prior to this, Alexey held the position of Head of Data Science Department at SberMegaMarket, where they managed 30 professionals and played a key role in developing the centralized data science office. Alexey has also worked as the Head of Data Science department at Promsvyazbank, where they built and led a machine learning team. Before entering the field of data science, Alexey held roles in sales at Alfa-Bank and Citibank.

Alexey Kogay obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Moscow Institute of Finance and Economics at the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. Alexey completed their Bachelor's Degree from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Physics from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, which they completed from 2005 to 2011.
