Jelena Kozowyk-Konjicija

Jelena Kozowyk-Konjicija has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2006, they worked as a bartender at the Chinese restaurant Blue Lotus until 2008. In 2008, they joined Ahold Delhaize as a Sales Representative, eventually becoming a Senior Sales Representative until 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as an Account Manager at Wilkens c.s. Translators • Interpreters • Technical Writers, specializing in regulatory affairs and clinical trials.

In 2011, Jelena joined RAAP as a Junior Field Archaeologist for a short period, and also worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Faculty of Archaeology, specializing in archaeological research and analysis. Jelena continued this role in 2012 as a Laboratory Assistant at the same faculty, and also worked as a Junior Field Archaeologist at Archol during the same year.

Transitioning into a different field, Jelena joined Samotics in 2018. Jelena initially worked as a Business Development & Marketing professional, responsible for outbound sales and event organization. From 2019 to 2021, they took on the role of a Data Science Analyst, leveraging machine learning algorithms to monitor industrial assets and eliminate unplanned downtime. Later, they became the Lead Monitoring & Data Qualification, leading the MDQ team and overseeing AI model qualification, software improvements, and asset monitoring.

In 2021, Jelena joined Leids Universiteits Fonds as a Sleuteldrager, actively supporting scientific education and research in collaboration with Leiden University alumni.

Finally, in 2023, Jelena became an Ambassador and Community Member at Top Tier Impact, a members-only network focused on accelerating the global adoption of impact and sustainability. Jelena collaborates with the UN Development Programme and the World Economic Forum in this role.

Jelena's work experience reflects a diverse background with roles in sales, marketing, archaeology, data science, and sustainability.

Jelena Kozowyk-Konjicija has a strong educational background in archaeology and palaeolithic archaeology. In 2008, they began their studies at Utrecht University in the field of Liberal Arts and Sciences, but this did not result in a degree. Jelena then went on to attend Willem de Zwijger College from 2002 to 2008, where they completed a Gymnasium program.

Jelena continued their education at Leiden University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology from 2009 to 2012. Jelena then pursued a Master's degree in Palaeolithic Archaeology at the same university from 2012 to 2016.

In addition to their academic achievements, Jelena has obtained additional certifications. In 2022, they completed an Emergency Response certification from BHV.NL. Jelena also obtained a WIN Professionals Program certification from Women In Negotiation in 2023.
