Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith, PMP, has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles.

Starting in 2013, Andrew served in the US Army, where they held multiple positions, including Operations Manager for both a Rifle Platoon and a Medical Platoon. Andrew then transitioned to the role of Associate Director, responsible for Missile Defense Operations. In 2017, they became the Assistant Program Manager for G37 TREX. Their time in the Army Reserve ended in December 2022, during which they held the rank of Captain (PSYOP) and conducted operations to convey selected information to foreign audiences.

In 2017, Andrew became a Franchisee for Commonwealth Clips, LLC dba Great Clips, managing the operations of the franchise until 2019.

From 2019 to 2020, Andrew worked as a Technical Project Manager at Siemens, where they oversaw the planning, coordination, and implementation of construction and retrofit projects. Andrew also utilized financial forecasting tools and worked with a team to monitor and control costs.

Starting in 2020, Andrew worked as a Financial Analyst at NCN Financial, where they provided financial analysis and support.

Currently, Andrew is employed at Samsara as a Sales Operations & Strategy Manager, a role they started in April 2022.

Andrew Smith, PMP received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Arabic Language and Literature, with a focus on Middle Eastern Studies, from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Andrew attended the institution from 2009 to 2013.

In terms of additional certifications, Andrew obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2022. Andrew also acquired the Enrolled Agent (EA) certification from the Internal Revenue Service in February 2021.
