Philippe Sentein

Majors, Client Director at Samsara

Philippe Sentein has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Philippe has held various leadership positions throughout their career.

Starting in 1991, Sentein began their career as an R&D Engineer at SNS (Systems & Networks Solutions). Philippe then co-founded InterBACKUP, a Tekelec company, where they served as the COO and Vice-President of Sales. Sentein pioneered the development of the first backup object-oriented solution and led the global sales operations.

In 1996, Sentein joined Computer Associates as a Global Account Manager, responsible for developing and managing sales to large accounts. Philippe also served as a Keynote Speaker and IT Evangelist, promoting CA's enterprise solutions to Fortune 500 companies.

Sentein then joined SAP in 1999 as a Senior Sales Manager, where they focused on sales development for the Manufacturing, Telecom, and Media markets. Philippe also built and managed partnerships with IBM and key integrators.

In 2000, Sentein became the Regional Sales Director at HP Autonomy (formerly Interwoven), where they started the Sales Operations in France and Spain. Philippe built and managed a sales team, focused on Fortune 500 companies and led relationships with IBM.

From 2004 to 2012, Sentein worked at HERE Technologies (formerly Navteq) in various roles. As the Sales Director EMEA, they launched and developed local SaaS Digital Advertising with directory companies in EMEA. Philippe also served as the Senior Sales Director Europe, responsible for launching and developing the first advertising program across Europe. Additionally, Sentein was the Director of Business Development for Eastern Europe, where they promoted the company's brand awareness and led the design and launch of a major telematics project.

Sentein then held multiple roles at Soft Equity Partners, including Co-founder, Sales & Managing Director. Philippe helped businesses expand to foreign markets, acted as a country manager, and developed growth strategies.

From 2018 to 2020, Sentein worked at The Red Flag Group as the Director of Business Development & Country Manager. Philippe was responsible for setting up the French office, leading the local team, and driving revenue.

From 2020 to 2023, Sentein worked at Refinitiv, an LSEG business, as the Director of Sales & Business Development. Philippe led sales on several vertical markets in France and was responsible for KYC SaaS solutions and regional market intelligence.

Currently, Sentein is working at Samsara as the Majors, Client Director, starting from 2023.

Philippe SENTEIN received their French High School Diploma specializing in Mathematics - C series from Lycée La Fontaine in Paris in 1986. From 1986 to 1991, they attended ESIEA - ÉCOLE D'INGÉNIEUR·E·S D'UN NUMÉRIQUE UTILE, where they obtained a degree in Engineering with a focus on Computer Science, Electronic, and Automatic.

In addition to their formal education, Philippe has also obtained several certifications. In 1998, they completed Gold Training at Sandler Training. In 2005, they obtained a certification in Target Account Selling (TAS) from Siebel Systems. Most recently, in January 2022, they obtained a Full MEDDPICC certification from the MEDDIC Academy.
