Zach K.

Zach K. has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Zach started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Stat-Ease in 2008 and then worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Maverick Software Consulting in 2009. Zach also interned as a Software Engineer at Telluride Asset Management in 2009.

In 2010, Zach joined Qualcomm as a Software Engineer. During their time there, they worked closely with mobile chipset teams to provide automated solutions for power, timeline, and thermal profiling for various mobile devices. Zach also designed and implemented an application to simplify automation of Android UI testing.

From 2013 to 2015, Zach worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Qualcomm. In this role, they designed and implemented an application to analyze power and system tests and led a team of automation engineers in automating power testing for Snapdragon chipsets on Android. Zach also developed a library of UI controls for consistent styling across the company's external-facing applications.

In 2015, Zach joined Veyo as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Platform Lead Software Engineer. At Veyo, they were responsible for improving system scalability, performance, reliability, and monitoring. Zach also led and mentored the platform team through new market and feature rollouts.

In 2017, Zach joined Samsara as a Senior Software Engineer II, Team Lead. Their responsibilities at Samsara include ramping up a new full-stack inspections team, long-term architecture design, project management, implementation, and mentorship. Zach has been instrumental in developing core products such as a custom digital form builder and an issue management system.

Zach was promoted to the role of Engineering Manager at Samsara in 2020. As the Engineering Manager, they led the driver app and mobile infra teams and the compliance workflow team. Zach was responsible for driving OKR and roadmap planning using data-driven analysis and customer feedback.

Throughout their career, Zach has gained expertise in various technologies and tools such as Go, GraphQL, MySQL, TypeScript, React, React-Native, GRPC, Docker, Datadog, Databricks, S3, Git, Buildkite, AWS, Crashlytics, Sentry, Codepush, JIRA, Confluence, and Airtable.

Zach K. completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In August 2020, they obtained the Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer certification from Triplebyte.
