Justin Smoak, PE

Justin Smoak, PE has a diverse work history that includes experience in engineering, marketing, and coaching. Justin recently served as the Engineered Solutions Manager/ Technical Sales Manager EMEA at Samson Rope Technologies, where they managed revenue-generating engineering service contracts and investigated new business development opportunities. Justin also served as the Marketing Strategy Manager-Energy and the Application Engineering Manager, where they led a team of 5 application engineers and provided technical support for pre-sale and post-sale installation. Prior to Samson Rope Technologies, they worked at Century Mining Corporation and Tamerlane Ventures as a General Manager and Mining Engineer, respectively. Justin also has a background in research, having worked as a Research Assistant at the University of the Witwatersrand. Smoak has experience in coaching as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Ferndale High School and even ran as an independent candidate for Washington State's 1st Congressional District seat in the US House of Representatives in 2020.

Justin Smoak, PE earned their Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mining Engineering and Economics respectively from Virginia Tech in the years between 1999 and 2003. After a few years, they continued their education and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Mineral Economics from the University of Witwatersrand between the years of 2005 and 2006. In 2015, Smoak also obtained their Professional Engineer certification from the institution of Washington State.
