Patrick Boyle has extensive experience in environmental health, safety, and sustainability. Patrick currently serves as the Vice President of Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability at Samuel, Son & Co. Prior to this role, they held positions as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University and as the Director of Corporate Sustainability and Global Sustainability Manager at Sloan Valve Company. Patrick Boyle completed their Bachelor's in Science in Occupational Safety & Health at Illinois State University from 1992 to 1997. Patrick then pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Management & Sustainability at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2015, with a focus on Environmental Management, Sustainability, Business, and Law.

In addition to their formal education, Patrick Boyle has obtained several certifications to further enhance their knowledge and expertise. Patrick became a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in August 2007. Patrick also obtained the LEED Green Associate certification from the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) in April 2014. Furthering their education in sustainability, they completed the Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership program at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in November 2016. Most recently, in July 2020, they obtained the WELL AP certification from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).
