Wayne Fernando

Wayne Fernando has extensive experience in laboratory operations and management. Wayne is currently serving as the Director of Laboratory Operations at San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation. Prior to this, they held the position of National Laboratory Director at Ready from 2021 to 2022. Wayne also worked as a Laboratory Director (Locum) at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in 2021. Before that, they served as a Laboratory Supervisor at TriCore Reference Laboratories/LCMC and Bixby, Herrick, and CVHH Hospital in 2020. From 2018 to 2019, Wayne worked as the Director of Operations at SperiDoc. Wayne has also held various positions such as Laboratory Director at Texas General Hospital from 2015 to 2019, Supervisor at North Hills Hospital from 2013 to 2014, Blood Bank Technical Specialist at Immucor, Inc. from 2012 to 2013, and Clinical Lab Scientist at Texas Health Resources Southwest Fort Worth from 2011 to 2013.

Wayne Fernando has a Master's degree in Health Care Leadership from Western Governors University, which they obtained in 2023. In 1997 to 1998, they attended Tarleton State University, although the degree and field of study are unknown. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1994, Wayne attended Southwestern Adventist University, but their degree and field of study are also unknown. Additionally, they hold certifications such as IS-00200.b and IS-00700.a from FEMA, which they obtained in January 2016. Wayne also obtained a certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist from the American Society of Clinical Pathologist in March 1998.
