Jennifer Davies

Jennifer Davies is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in external affairs and tourism. Currently serving as the Director of External Affairs and Cultural Tourism at the San Diego Tourism Authority since January 2018, Jennifer has held significant roles such as Assistant Dean of External Affairs at UC San Diego Extension from 2015 to January 2018, and Vice President of External Affairs at Downtown San Diego Partnership from June 2013 to May 2015. Additional positions include Communications Director for Councilmember Sherri Lightner at the City of San Diego, and Communications and Marketing Manager at the Centre City Development Corporation. Jennifer began a career in journalism as a Staff Writer for The San Diego Union-Tribune from 2001 to 2010. Educational background includes a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
