Elkie Wills

Sr. Director Of Community Engagement at San Diego Humane Society

Elkie Wills has a diverse work experience in various roles related to community engagement and communications. Elkie started their career at Yuma Sun as a Real Estate Account Manager in 2004. In the same year, they also joined Humane Society of Yuma as a Community Outreach Coordinator, where they worked until November 2008. In 2010, Elkie joined San Diego Humane Society as a Communications Coordinator, and later held roles of Communications and Partnership Manager, Director of Community Engagement, and currently serves as the Sr. Director of Community Engagement, starting from December 2020.

Elkie Wills obtained an Associate's degree in Advertising from Northwood University, where they studied from 1990 to 1992. In addition to their college education, Elkie Wills has also obtained additional certifications. In 2020, they completed the Non-Profit Management program offered by Non-Profit Management Solutions/Brandman University and received a certification in Non-Profit Management. They also completed the Fear Free Shelter Program provided by Fear Free LLC in January 2020, earning a certification in this program as well.
