Senior Director, Volunteer Engagement at San Diego Humane Society

Kim Soto, CVA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kim started their career at the Hotel del Coronado, where they held various roles including Front Desk Supervisor, Group Room Inventory Coordinator, Guest Services Training Coordinator, Front Desk Manager, and Human Resources Specialist. In 2002, they joined the San Diego History Center as the Education and Volunteer Coordinator. Kim then moved on to the Fleet Science Center in 2005, where they served as the Volunteer Coordinator. Since 2008, Kim has been working at the San Diego Humane Society, initially as the Director of Volunteer Engagement and currently as the Senior Director of Volunteer Engagement.

Kim Soto, CVA holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a concentration in Anthropology & Art History from the University of Arizona. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. In February 2009, they received Certification in Volunteer Administration from the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration. Furthermore, in July 2022, they became a Better Impact Certified Consultant through Better Impact Inc.
