Anzette Shackelford

Anzette Shackelford, LCSW, serves as a Training Manager and County Consultant at San Diego State University since January 2019 and has held a similar position at the SDSU Academy for Professional Excellence since August 2012. Previously, Anzette worked at the County of San Diego from 2000 to 2012 as a social worker in roles related to adoptions, recruitment, and independent living services. Anzette's earlier experience includes community organizing at Concerned Citizens of South Central Los Angeles from 1997 to 2000, focusing on housing, youth development, and economic development, as well as serving as a Child Development Teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District from 1990 to 1997. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, along with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Sociology from California State University-Dominguez Hills.
