Emily Land

Emily Land is the director of the Marketing and Communications team at San Francisco AIDS Foundation, leading communication strategies and marketing plans that connect people to the foundation’s programs, services, and causes. She first joined the organization as an editor for the HIV blog BETA in 2014, and is passionate about raising awareness about health issues that affect people’s lives: everything from research on PrEP and HIV health to social justice causes.

Emily is a harm reduction advocate, and a regular volunteer distributing safer substance use supplies and connecting people to health care services in the 16th/Mission neighborhood. Previously, she worked for a social science research organization conducting translational HIV prevention research. She holds an MA from the University of Chicago.
