Erica Gangsei

Erica Gangsei serves as the Director of Interpretive Media at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art since November 2006, overseeing a production team and leading initiatives in creative direction, content strategy, and multimedia interpretation. Previous roles at the museum include Manager of Interpretation and Interpretation Coordinator. As an artist, Erica has participated in numerous exhibitions and performances since 2003, focusing on puppetry, installation, and collective action. Earlier experience includes positions with the ACLU and New York Civil Liberties Union in development and fundraising roles, as well as various production-related jobs in the arts. Erica holds degrees from Amherst College and the San Francisco Art Institute.
