Shannon Vaccarezza

Special Education Instructional Assistant at SAN MATEO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

Shannon Vaccarezza has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2015, they worked as an Office Manager at Vaccarezza Glass Co. until September 2018. From June to September 2019, they served as a Program Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In 2020, they worked as an Agricultural Technician at the California Department of Food and Agriculture from August to December. Shannon then joined the San Mateo Union High School District in August 2021 as a Special Education Instructional Assistant. In April and June 2018, they volunteered as a State Park Volunteer at Natural Bridges State Beach. Most recently, in June and July 2022, they taught 7th Grade Humanities as a Co-Teacher on a Design Challenge Team at Aim High, incorporating elements of humanities and science into the curriculum.

Shannon Vaccarezza attended Mercy High School in San Francisco from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following that, they enrolled at Skyline College from 2014 to 2017 and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Natural Sciences. Subsequently, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2017 to 2019, majoring in Environmental Studies and receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching at San Francisco State University, expected to be completed between 2021 and 2023.
