Colin Alexander

Colin Alexander has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Colin started their career as an Assistant Baker at RubyK's Bagel Cafe from 2004 to 2008. Colin then worked as a Sales Associate at Empereon-Constar in 2010. After that, they joined Volt Workforce Solutions as a Technical Support Representative from 2012 to 2014, where they excelled in customer satisfaction and provided one-on-one training to struggling agents.

In 2014, Colin became an Assistant Manager at Big 5 Sporting Goods, where they streamlined processes, reduced inventory errors, and fostered a positive staff culture through one-on-one training and engaged learning. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Manager at MetroExpress Carwash, where they developed a healthy staff culture, solved technical issues, and implemented customer-focused training for employee engagement and business growth.

Colin's most recent work experience is at Sanborn, where they started as a Software Engineer I in 2021. In this role, they assisted in maintaining a suite of RoR apps for spatial data interaction and engaged in research for specialized GIS software integrations. Currently, they hold the position of Software Engineer II, dedicated to the company's client-facing apps. Colin is responsible for the development and maintenance of multiple apps, provides assistance to the team, and develops internal scripts for automation and documentation.

Colin Alexander started their education by attending Los Alamos High School from 2004 to 2008. After completing high school, they enrolled at New Mexico State University from 2008 to 2010, where they pursued studies in Mechanical Engineering, but did not obtain a degree. Later, in 2019, Colin attended the Turing School of Software & Design, where they focused on Back End Engineering with a specific emphasis on Ruby on Rails.
