Matt Ellis

Matt joined Sanctuary in 2022, bringing more than 25 years of commercial experience in product development in artificial intelligence, machine-learning, cloud and edge computing, IoT, simulation, high-performance computing, and robotic control systems.

Matt has a demonstrated track record in research and development leadership; working in enterprises at multiple scales, from startups, scaling-up teams, and transforming thousand-person strong globally distributed product organizations. He has previously held senior strategic roles in artificial intelligence, data science, and product engineering leadership positions at various companies, including Amazon, HP, IBM, and multiple startups.

Matt is a skilled practitioner with a track record of leading enterprise-level transformations by applying agile, design thinking, lean and pragmatic product development methodologies to build engineering teams that deliver market-leading products at scale.
