Monika Batra

Monika Batra has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Monika most recently worked as the Director and Team Head of the Northern Region at Sanctum Wealth Management since October 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Co-Head North, Wealth Group at J M Financial Ltd. from September 2017 to October 2020. Monika also worked at Yes Bank Ltd. for a significant period, serving in various roles including EVP and Regional Leader of Yes First n Wealth Management from January 2006 to September 2017, and as an Executive Vice President from January 2014 to March 2017. Before joining Yes Bank, they held positions at Yes Bank, Citibank, and Citibank. At Yes Bank, they served as Cluster Head in South Delhi from April 2008 to November 2011, Cluster Head in Gurgaon from April 2007 to April 2008, and as a Branch Manager in Gurgaon from January 2006 to April 2007. At Citibank, Monika held the role of Regional Head (NCR) Women's Banking Business from April 2005 to January 2006, Wealth Manager (Consumer Banking) from December 2002 to April 2005, and Manager in the Card Sales Division from June 1999 to December 2002.

Monika Batra has a strong educational background with a focus on business and commerce. Monika completed their Bachelor of Commerce (hons) degree at Hans Raj College (Delhi University) from 1994 to 1997, with coursework in commerce, economics, and accountancy. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) specializing in Marketing and International Business at NMIMS-HIM from 1997 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Batra has also obtained several certifications. In August 2014, they completed a certification in Strategic Planning and Leadership from IIM Kolkata. In September 2015, they obtained a certification in POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) from NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter. Most recently, in August 2020, they completed a certification as an Independent Director from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
