Martin Ganahl

Martin Ganahl has a diverse work experience in research and academia. Martin started their career as a Research Assistant at Technische Universität Graz from June 2010 to June 2014. Following this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same institution from June 2014 to August 2014.

From October 2014 to August 2020, Martin was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Perimeter Institute.

In August 2020, they joined X, the moonshot factory as a Research Scientist in the Sandbox @ Alphabet team, where they worked until January 2022.

Martin Ganahl is currently working at SandboxAQ since January 2022, holding the position of Senior Research Scientist.

Martin Ganahl holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, which they obtained from Technische Universität Graz from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Technical Physics at the same institution from 2003 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Martin also obtained a Natural Language Processing Nanodegree from Udacity in August 2018. Martin has also completed a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera, although specific details regarding the completion date are not provided.
