Municipal Manager, Health & Social Care at Sandefjord kommune

Bente Østbakken Aasoldsen is the current Municipal Manager of Health & Social Care at Sandefjord kommune. Bente has held this position since September 2013. Prior to their current role, they served as RE leder at Larvik kommune from January 2011 to September 2013.

Østbakken Aasoldsen began their career in 1992 at Porsgrunn kommune, where they held various positions over the next 13 years. In 2005, they left Porsgrunn kommune to join Gatsoft as Markedsansvarlig. Bente stayed with the company for two years before moving on to Oslo universitetssykehus in 2007, where they served as Spesialrådgiver IKT/HR until 2008.

Østbakken Aasoldsen then returned to Porsgrunn kommune in October 2013 as Virksomhetsleder. Bente maintained this role until December 2019, when they took on their current role at Sandefjord kommune.

Bente Østbakken Aasoldsen has a master's degree in management from Handelshøyskolen BI Oslo and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Høgskolen i Telemark. Bente also has a degree in emergency management from Høyskolen i Sørøstnorge and a degree in LEAN management from Høgskolen i Buskerud og Vestfold. In addition, they have completed courses in personal development and leadership from Høgskolen i Lillehammer and in cross-disciplinary counseling from Høgskolen i Telemark.

They are on a team with Øyvind Wøllo - Municipal Manager, Finance & Analysis, Asbjørn Seim - Municipal Manager, HR & Development, and Kristin Flåtten - Municipal Manager for Knowledge, Children & Youth. Their manager is Bjørn Gudbjørgsrud, Municipal Director.
