Derrick Williams has over a decade of experience in various roles within the field of technology. Derrick began their career as a Java Front End Developer for Aetna, where they worked on developing a web-based replacement for legacy insurance policy software. From there, they served as a Database and Visual Basic Developer, responsible for managing a large Visual Basic application and developing custom ETL scripts.

Williams then transitioned to a role as a Data Process Engineer, where they managed incoming data for imaged documents for a large health insurance corporation and developed custom ETL scripts. Following this position, they worked as a J2EE Application Developer for Aetna, where they were responsible for designing and implementing a high-visibility complaints handling system.

Continuing on their career path, Williams joined Morgan Stanley as a DB2 Senior Developer, working on a pilot conversion project from Sybase to DB2 for the company's data warehouse division. Derrick was a principal technical developer, responsible for the development of ETL procedures and technical specifications.

After their time at Morgan Stanley, Williams worked at Novartis as a Web Developer, where they migrated web pages into the company's employee intranet. Derrick led the requirements process and ranked each page in terms of business value and fit within existing web pages.

Moving forward, Williams worked for companies such as State Farm and CitiGroup in roles such as Java Architect and SAP Pre-Sales Consultant respectively, where they provided technical expertise and support for various projects.

Derrick also worked as a Contractor J2EE Developer for NY FISA, developing web-based applications for government employees of New York City. Additionally, Williams served as a J2EE Developer for Entitle Direct, working on the development of the EDGE application.

Prior to their current position, Williams worked as the Head Technical Consultant for In Theory Yes, providing technical expertise from conception to roll-out to make clients' business concepts a reality.

Currently, Williams is a Principal Solutions Architect at Sandia National Laboratories, where they utilize their extensive experience to design solutions and provide technical expertise.

Derrick Williams completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993. Derrick also obtained a Master of Science in Software Management and Development from the same university in 2000. In 2011, they received an MBA degree in Business from Henley Business School. Additionally, they attended Annandale High from 1984 to 1988.
