Nicholas Leone is a Master Thesis Student in the Master of Science in Robotics program at Carnegie Mellon University since August 2024, while concurrently serving as a Research and Development Intern at Sandia National Laboratories since May 2023, focusing on the development of simulations for an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) equipped with a manipulator. Previously, Nicholas participated in the Opportunity Research Scholars program at the Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2020 to August 2024, engaging in research on localization techniques for robotic navigation. Additional experience includes a Robotics Engineer role at Intelligent Automation, where Nicholas integrated terrain-based path planning into an autonomy stack, and multiple research internships at the University of Central Florida. Nicholas holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and a high school diploma from Olympia High School.
