Santiago Flores

Santiago Flores, P.G. is a geoscientist currently working at Sandia National Laboratories since May 2024. Prior to this role, Santiago served as a Senior Geologist at GEOLEX, INC. from January 2021 to April 2024 and as a Geologist at Chesapeake Energy from March 2014 to April 2020, where expertise in subsurface resource exploration and development was demonstrated through geologic observations and interpretations. Santiago's academic background includes a Master of Science in Geology from Utah State University, where a thesis on mesoscale deformational features was completed, and a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Previous experience includes internships and roles that contributed to regional geologic studies and educational positions, showcasing a well-rounded foundation in geology and related fields.
