Senior Director, Client Delivery at Sandstorm Design

Emily Kodner has over 15 years of professional experience in a variety of roles. In 2004, they began working as a Program Assistant at George Washington University, where they learned how to create and manage databases in MS Access and the life-changing powers of a good Mail Merge. In 2005, they were a Political Intern at the Human Rights Campaign, where they lobbied Congressional staff to support fair-minded legislation and performed legislative research on hate crimes. Emily also created a central MS Access database with formatted reports and taught other staff how to use and maintain it. In 2006, Emily worked as a Research Analyst at the World Bank, where they managed and queried data in heavily customized Oracle and PeopleSoft databases and analyzed data to create reports. In 2008, they worked as a Professional Organizer at Chaos to Order, indulging their life-long passion for organizing and helping overwhelmed clients break down projects into manageable pieces. Emily also worked at Family Office Exchange as a Sr. Content Manager, Project Manager, and Sr. Research Analyst, where they got their first taste for large-scale technical project management. Finally, Emily has worked at Sandstorm Design since 2013, where they have held two roles. As Senior Director of Client Delivery, they manage a team of digital strategists and oversees the management of website projects. As Web Strategy Director, they provide strategy, project management, and account management for large scale website projects and has directly managed over $1M in revenue.

Emily Kodner's education history includes a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in 2022, a MA in International Affairs: Conflict Resolution from The George Washington University in 2004-2006, a study abroad program in Santa Cruz, Bolivia in 2005, a BA in Sociology and International Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2000-2004, and a study abroad program at the Universidad de Almería in 2002.
