Dermot Desmond

Dermot Desmond has extensive experience in sales and business development within the metal powders and additive manufacturing industries. Currently serving as Acting Lead Sales (EMEA) and Lead Sales (APAC) at Sandvik, Dermot is responsible for driving growth and strategic channel partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region while also covering EMEA. Prior roles include Commercial and Business Development Manager at Liberty Powder Metals, where significant contributions to growth in Additive Manufacturing were made. As Business Development Director for LPW Technology Japan and Carpenter Additive, Dermot played a key role in establishing business development strategies and expanding market presence in Asia. Additional experience includes positions at Navtech Radar, M&I Materials, and various companies in sales and marketing roles. Dermot holds a BA in Business Studies with Law from The Open University.
