Nilanjan Sarkar has a strong background in the telecommunications industry, with experience at various companies. Nilanjan started their career as a Software Engineer at Hughes Software Systems in 2001 and later worked as a Software Engineer at Connectiva Systems from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they joined Wipro Technologies as an Associate Consultant. From 2005 to 2008, Sarkar worked as a Software Architect at Condor Networks, where they developed the Diameter Stack from scratch and led teams for IMS HSS Node and PCRF Node design and development. Nilanjan then joined Mavenir Systems in 2008 as a Tech Lead, working on IMS HSS Development and leading the design and development of the LDAP-based connector module and SMSC Store and Forward Module. Sarkar joined NewNet Communication Technologies in 2010 as a Principal Engineer, leading the SMSC Product for development and support and working on the 3G PDSN diameter integration project. Finally, they joined Sandvine in 2011 as a Principal Engineer, focusing on bandwidth management, traffic management, data flow optimization, and quality of service in IP networks for fixed line, cable, and mobile operators. Nilanjan also worked on optimizing and scaling up the platform for new hardware.
