Anagha Deshpande

Anagha Deshpande currently serves as a Staff Scientist at Sanford Burnham Prebys, where responsibilities include identifying novel druggable candidates for targeting cancer stem cells and establishing high-throughput assays for small-molecule therapeutics assessment in cancer cells. Previous experience encompasses postdoctoral roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where Anagha investigated the methyltransferase DOT1L's role in leukemias, and at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, focusing on mutations in the JAK2 kinase domain related to drug resistance. Anagha's academic background includes a PhD in Human Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, an MTech in Bioprocess Technology, and a B.Pharm. Sci. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mumbai, further complemented by experience as an Assistant Research Scientist at AstraZeneca and as a graduate student studying micro-RNA regulation of oncogenes.
