Emily Griese, PhD has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Emily has held various positions at Sanford Health Plan, including Vice President Operations and Vice President, Population Health & Clinical Operations. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. Emily also worked at Sanford Health as a Senior Executive Director and Director in Population Health, as well as an Assistant Scientist and Director in Collaborative Research. Additionally, Griese has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Population Health at Sanford Health, and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Emily started their career as a Public Health Analyst at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Division, and also worked as a Public Policy Analyst at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Emily Griese, PhD earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Northwestern College in 2008. Emily then pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which they completed in 2010. Following this, Emily obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. Emily later engaged in a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Population Health at Sanford Research from 2013 to 2015.
