Maryam Razavipour

Maryam Razavipour, PhD, EIT, is a Senior R&D Engineer at Lumentum, specializing in Robotic Automation Process and Manufacturing Process Development for Optics since August 2022. Previously, in the role of Mechanical Engineering/Data Scientist at the NRC/NWMO/uOttawa Cold Spray Laboratory from September 2020 to January 2024, Maryam designed and conducted laser heat treatment experiments, as well as performed thermal modelling using ANSYS. At the University of Ottawa from September 2018 to April 2023, Maryam worked as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant, contributing to curriculum development, classroom management, and conducting advanced analyses in thermal-fluid dynamics. Earlier experiences include roles in graduate mechanical engineering and senior mechanical engineering at various institutions, with a focus on additive manufacturing and machinery performance analysis. Maryam holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Master's degree from the University of Zanjan and a Bachelor's degree from Guilan University.
