Nellwyn Hagan

Nellwyn Hagan, Ph.D., currently serves as the Scientific Director for Neurodegenerative Disorders at Takeda since March 2025, after an extensive tenure at Sanofi beginning in November 2014, where roles progressed from Principal Scientist to Senior Principal Scientist. Academic experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, focusing on Semaphorin-3E and Neuropilin-1 research, as well as a Graduate Student role at Brown University, where notable studies included embryonic gene expression in cerebellar development. Previous experience encompasses clinical research coordination at Massachusetts General Hospital, tutoring in math and biology, and coaching soccer, highlighting a diverse skill set in both scientific and educational domains. Education includes a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Brown University and a BA in Neuroscience and Math from Wellesley College.
