Sushmita Lahiri

Sushmita Lahiri is an accomplished biotechnology executive with extensive experience in drug discovery and development across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Associate Vice President and Global Project Head at Sanofi since May 2023, Sushmita leads cross-functional teams to advance the Vaccines portfolio. Previously, Sushmita was the Global Head of the Antibacterial Domain at Johnson & Johnson, directing projects focused on novel therapeutic agents for respiratory diseases. Sushmita's prior roles include External Innovation Leader at Boehringer Ingelheim, Executive Director of Biology at Macrolide Pharmaceuticals, and various positions at AstraZeneca, where Sushmita contributed to the development of treatments for life-threatening infections. Sushmita holds a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from Boston University School of Medicine.
