AP Teacher And Reader At Capital High School at Santa Fe Public Schools

Laura Carthy has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Tecolote Leader at St. John's College since September 2002, where responsibilities include leading small tutorials and co-leading Socratic Seminars. In addition, Laura Carthy has held the position of Dean of Students for the St. John's College Summer Academy while also serving as an AP Teacher and Reader at Capital High School. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor of Education at Santa Fe Community College from August 2007 to August 2022, teaching undergraduate and graduate education courses. Laura Carthy's academic qualifications include a Master of Philosophy in Irish Studies from the University of Galway, a Teaching Licensure in Secondary Education from The University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from St. John's College.
