Architectural Photography Instructor at Santa Fe Workshops

Alan Blakely is an accomplished architectural photographer with over three decades of experience, having established Alan Blakely Architectural Photography in 1991. As the founder of multiple professional organizations, including The Association of Independent Architectural Photographers, Real Estate Photographers of America & International, and Aerial Drone Photographers of America, Alan has significantly contributed to connecting photographers with industry buyers. In addition to photography, Alan hosts the podcast "A Photographer's Life™" and serves as a judge for the MPI International Imaging Competition. Teaching at Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, Alan shares expertise in architectural and interior photography. Contributions to The New York Times as a contributing photographer and previous editorial writing for ProPhotoResource.com further underscore Alan's influence in the field. Alan holds a BA in Advertising Communications from Brigham Young University and co-founded the jazz-rock fusion group FineLine in the late 1970s.
