Michael Rubin is an experienced leader in the realms of photography, retail, and technology innovation. Currently serving as an Instructor at Santa Fe Workshops since January 2021, Rubin focuses on photographic skills and composition. As Executive Director of The Rubin Collection since February 2014, Rubin manages a significant collection of mid-20th century photography. Previous roles include Founder of Neomodern, where Rubin melded participatory retail with photographic art, and Chairman of Petroglyph, a pioneering ceramics studio concept. Rubin’s tech background includes positions as Senior Innovator at Adobe Research and Director of Product at Netflix. An early career began with roles at industry standards like Chyron and Lucasfilm, complemented by a comprehensive educational foundation in Neuroscience from Brown University.
