At work, I lead teacher teams to develop courses, curriculum, and pedagogy in the Ethnic Studies department. I also act as AVID District Director. Both roles allow me to spend time in classrooms and co-plan, team-teach, and support on site and district PD. This year, I have also been supporting the AB 130 ISP program. I can always be in the room when a teacher needs extra adult hands, so please reach out for that, too. I love my job and profession.
At home, I am mom to four boys and three dogs. Being with my kids is my greatest joy; my greatest pride is that I can take my kids anywhere and trust that they will make me look good. I enjoy hiking, reading, cleaning house, and watching hockey--especially when a player wears "Rossi" on the back of his sweater.

Personal Q&A
If you didn't have this job, what would you be doing instead?
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was six years old and fell in love with my first teacher. However, there was a time I wanted to ALSO either train monkeys (I learned American sign language so I could communicate with primates and still speak semi-fluently!) OR a private investigator. I do enjoy solving mysteries on the side.
