Xavier Ruiz

Xavier Ruiz, MBA, is an accomplished finance executive currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff at Santander US since October 2023. Prior to this role, Xavier held various senior positions at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking USA, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff for Investment Banking from November 2017 to October 2023, and Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff for Commercial Banking at Santander Bank, N.A. from August 2016 to November 2017. Additional experience includes serving as Executive Vice President at Santander USA and holding leadership roles at Santander Bank, N.A., Credit Andorra Bank, and McKinsey & Company. Xavier contributes to the governance of Banco Santander International and Santander Investment Securities as a board member and has a strong academic background, holding dual MBA degrees in Finance from MIT Sloan School of Management and Esade, along with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.
