Tamara Chayo

Tamara Chayo, PhD, is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of MEDU Protection since May 2020. As a seasoned professional, Tamara holds fellowships with the 776 Foundation, The Thiel Foundation, Yunus & Youth, Halcyon, and Santander X, along with participation in the Makers Fellowship. Previous leadership experience includes serving as President of Consejo Universitario Estudiantil La Salle from February 2021 to February 2022, and founding MyMexUrb, a project promoting Mexican traditions globally, from October 2016 to December 2020. Tamara began as an Investigator at Instituto Politécnico Nacional prior to assuming executive roles, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad La Salle, A.C.
