Imran Hamid, MD

Imran Hamid, MD has a long and varied career in the medical industry. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Investment Principal for LifeArc Ventures, an organization that invests in innovative therapeutics, healthtech, and diagnostics companies. In 2022, they began working as an Investor Director for Stealth Digital HealthTech, Surgery Hero, and ikarovec. At ikarovec, they were responsible for investing in pre-clinical phase gene therapy companies. At Cumulus Neuroscience, they were an Investor Director and was responsible for creating an integrated physiological and digital biomarker solution to measure and monitor brain health. In 2021, they began working as a Board Observer for Closed Loop Medicine and DJS Antibodies. At DJS, they were responsible for developing novel therapeutics to treat chronic inflammatory diseases. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Johnson & Johnson as a Senior Director of New Ventures and Transactions, responsible for identifying and sourcing transformational innovation. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals as a Director of Business Development and Licensing. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at MSD as a Director of Commercial Discovery, responsible for developing and delivering novel pharmaceutical and digital health solutions.

Imran Hamid, MD began their education at St Paul's School from 1994 to 1999. Imran then attended Imperial College London from 1999 to 2005, where they earned their MBBS BSc(Hons) in Medicine and Healthcare Management. Imran also attended Imperial College Business School from 2003 to 2004, where they earned their BSc (Hons) in Management. Lastly, they attended The Royal College of Surgeons of England from 2007 to 2008, where they earned their MRCS in Surgery.
