Senior Design Engineer at Saratech

Raymond Avila has a diverse work experience in the field of design engineering. Raymond began their career in 1992 as a Design Engineer at Boeing, where they worked on Space Station Alpha and MD11 aircraft, creating and redesigning solid models for structures and producing detail and schematic drawings. Raymond also worked as an Engineer on the FIREFINDER and SENTINEL Mobile Radar Stations and the GOES Weather Satellite.

In 2000, Raymond worked as a Design Engineer at Quantum Technologies, where they designed OEM alternative fuel systems for General Motors. Raymond continued this role at ITT Inc., where they also worked on Land Based Radar SPS-48E and developed electronic equipment and optimized system layouts.

Raymond then joined Boeing Satellite Systems in 2003 as a Designer and worked on the avionics design development for International Space Station Alpha and Ground Support. Raymond was involved in wire harness routing, form boards, layouts, and installation drawings.

From 2009 to 2011, Raymond worked as a Designer at Boeing, and from 2012 to 2014, they served as a Senior Mechanical Designer at Moog Aircraft. Raymond then joined Rockwell Collins in 2014 as a Design Engineer, where they worked on Throttle Quadrant Assemblies for Gulfstream aircraft and Top Head Assy. for Northrop/Grumman E2D Hawkeye aircraft.

In 2015, Raymond moved to Collins Aerospace as a Design Engineer, where they designed quiet air chiller and refrigeration systems for Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Raymond also collaborated with manufacturing to design and build test equipment and harnesses.

Currently, Raymond works at Saratech as a Senior Design Engineer, where they are involved in the design of SLS/BOLE rocket boosters for Northrop/Grumman. Raymond provides design, harness, PMI/standard drawing support for various components and assemblies on the core stage.

Raymond Avila's education history includes attending AAI (Arizona Automotive Institute), Fullerton College, and Los Amigos High School. However, the specific start and end years, as well as the degrees earned and fields of study pursued, are unknown.
