Associate Medical Director, Clinical Development Lead, Rna-targeted Therapies - PPMO at Sarepta Therapeutics

Darko Stevanovic, MD, PhD has extensive work experience in the medical and scientific field. Darko'smost recent role was as an Associate Medical Director and Clinical Development Lead for RNA-targeted Therapies at Sarepta Therapeutics. Prior to that, they served as the Global Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs at Nova Biomedical, where they focused on developing relationships with key opinion leaders and publishing research articles on continuous glucose monitoring systems. Darko also worked as a Medical Science Liaison at Teva Pharmaceuticals and as a Research Scientist at 1Globe Health Institute. Darko has also held research fellow positions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School and Erasmus MC. Darko's academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Belgrade, School of Medicine and as a Teaching Assistant/Instructor in Medical Physiology. Darko was also a DAAD Research Fellow at the German Institute of Human Nutrition and received a DAAD Scholarship at the University of Tübingen. In addition, Darko held the position of President at the Yugoslav Association for Students' Scientific Research.

Darko Stevanovic, MD, PhD has an extensive education history. Darko earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine from the University of Belgrade in 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Endocrinology from the University of Belgrade, School of Medicine in 2006. Darko first obtained their medical degree, Doctor of Medicine (MD), from the University of Belgrade, School of Medicine in 2002. Darko also pursued various specialized courses at Harvard University, including Fundamentals in Clinical and Translational Research in 2016, Introduction to Translational Medicine in 2015, and Leadership Strategies for the Researcher from the Harvard Clinical and Translational Science Center in 2015.
