Marlene Castañeda

Marlene Castañeda is a Product Specialist at Sargent Aerospace & Defense since September 2023. Previously, Marlene served as a Student Services Fee Board Member for the University of Arizona from August 2022 to May 2023, where responsibilities included reviewing grant applications and analyzing proposals. As a Second-Year+ Peer Mentor at the University of Arizona's Thrive Center from August 2021 to May 2023, Marlene facilitated workshops and meetings to support undergraduate students' academic and professional development. A Design Projects Summer Intern with the University of Arizona's Student Engagement & Career Development in mid-2022, Marlene applied design thinking and systems methodologies to address complex problems. Earlier experience as a Merchandise Associate at JCPenney from November 2018 to April 2021 involved creating a welcoming environment and prioritizing customer service. Marlene holds a Bachelor of Management Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management, graduating in May 2023.
