Irina Robu

Irina Robu, PhD, is a seasoned researcher in biochemical engineering with extensive experience in upstream processing and bioreactor technologies. Currently a Senior Scientist at Sartorius Stedim Biotech since March 2021, Robu specializes in designing and executing experiments for upstream development utilizing various Sartorius bioreactor platforms. Previous roles include Scientist II at the LPBI Group, focusing on innovative cancer therapies, and Patent Analyst at Landon IP, where research centered on patent infringement in biotechnology. Earlier academic appointments include Postdoctoral Research Associate at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, developing stem cell expansion protocols, and Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University, managing laboratory operations in tissue engineering. Robu holds multiple degrees in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Windsor.
