Jennifer Ahenakew

Jennifer Ahenakew has a diverse work experience in the health care industry. Jennifer served as the Director of Wellness at the Saskatoon Tribal Council starting in May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Executive Director of Primary Health Care NNW at the Saskatchewan Health Authority from January 2020 to May 2023. Jennifer also served as the Health Manager at Ahtahkakoop First Nation from August 2018 to December 2019. At Whitecap Dakota First Nation, they held multiple roles including Director of Health & Social from November 2017 to July 2018, and Health Manager from May 2017 to July 2018. Before that, Jennifer was the Chief Executive Officer at Athabasca Health Authority from November 2012 to April 2017. Jennifer began their career as the Director of Health at Prince Albert Grand Council from July 2009 to December 2011.

Jennifer Ahenakew completed their Grade Twelve Diploma at Whitecalf Collegiate from 1993 to 1995. Later, from 1998 to 2002, they attended the First Nations University of Canada, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Human Justice.
