Vern Behl

Vern Behl MD, CCFP-EM, completed his medical degree followed by a residency in Family Medicine and a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. He currently practices as an Emergency Physician and Transport Physician in Saskatoon. Dr. Behl is actively involved in medical student and resident teaching, as well as air medical crew education with the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS), Saskatoon Base.

Dr. Behl has served in multiple leadership roles. Most recently, he served as the Physician Lead – Clinical Informatics (Saskatoon Area). In this role he supported the development of physician electronic documentation, spearheaded the implementation of voice dictation, was involved in the creation of a clinical lead framework for engaging physicians and consulted on other improvements within the SCM electronic health record.
