Dr. Helge Sachs

Dr. Helge Sachs has a diverse work experience. Dr. Helge currently holds the role of Senior Vice President of Portfolio Strategy & Sustainability at Sasol since 2024 and previously served as the Senior Vice President of Sasol ecoFT. In 2022, Dr. Sachs also became the owner of Cotton Club Hamburg. Prior to these positions, they founded and served as the CEO of the innovation consultancy firm R2F (Runway To Future), which focuses on sustainable innovation and clean energy poverty. Dr. Sachs has also worked at Airbus as a STAR Program Advisor and Diehl Aviation as a Senior Vice President of Product Innovation and Digitalization. Dr. Helge has had roles at Lufthansa Technik as well, including serving as Vice President of Corporate Innovation Management and Product Development, and as a Technology Program Manager in Corporate Strategy & Business Development. Earlier in their career, Dr. Sachs worked as a Team Manager & Technology Project Engineer at Lufthansa Technik and as a Program Manager and Scientific Engineer at Airbus, where they earned their Doctoral Degree (Dr.-Ing.).

Dr. Helge Sachs obtained a Master's Degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General from RWTH Aachen University, spanning from 1998 to 2004.
