Dr Thuli Mbuli

Dr Thuli Mbuli has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the communications and corporate affairs field. Dr Thuli is currently the Head of Community Affairs at Sasol since November 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs at SASOL MINING HOLDINGS from May 2018 to November 2020. Dr Thuli also worked at Rio Tinto as the Principal Advisor for External Affairs, Communications, and Media from May 2017 to December 2017. Dr Mbuli's earlier experience includes positions such as Marketing and Communications Manager at GEPF, Group Communications at Barclays Africa Group Limited, Communications Manager at Nedbank, Senior Account Manager at Two Tone Strategic Branding and Design agency, Communication Specialist at Momentum, Account Manager at Magna Carta Communications, and Account Executive at Simeka TWS Communications.

Dr Thuli Mbuli completed a National Diploma in Public Relations from Technikon Witwatersrand in 1998-2000. In 2010, they obtained a BTech degree in Public Relations from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Dr Thuli then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Milpark Business School in 2013-2014. In 2017-2018, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Milpark Business School and another MBA from Regent Business School. Dr Mbuli also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management from UWC, although the specific dates of their PhD program were not provided.
