Bien Nguyen

Bien Nguyen is a Computer Vision Engineer at SATIS.AI since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an AI Software Lead at Dynimlabs from February 2019 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for algorithm development and incorporating the latest research developments into their products. Before that, they were an AI Researcher at the University of Surrey from February 2018 to September 2018, focusing on cross-modal learning between textual and visual contents using neural networks. From September 2015 to September 2017, Bien worked as a Software Engineer at Portek International Pte Ltd, developing software systems for LiDAR-based automation systems in container ports. Bien also has experience as an Associate Software Engineer at VNG Corporation in 2014 and as a Research Fellow at the Multimedia Communications Laboratory in 2014, where they worked on image processing and machine learning techniques. Additionally, they worked as a back-end web developer at VNG Corporation from October 2013 to February 2014, developing a high-performance webchat system for Zalo. Prior to that, they had an internship at TMA Solutions from June 2013 to September 2013.

Bien Nguyen completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the University of Information Technology, which occurred from 2010 to 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Vision, Robotics, and Machine Learning from the University of Surrey, which took place from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, they received a certification in the Bachelor of Science - Honor Program in Computer Science from Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology - VNU in December 2014.
